日本最古の官道「竹内街道・横大路（旧伊勢街道）」沿いの空き町家を舞台に、国際色豊かなアーティストたちが多彩な表現を展開します。
本展「螺旋する階層 / The Spiral of Layers」は、五つの異なる階層を交差させ、創造の起源や意味を問いかけながら、螺旋を描くように辿ります。

ダニエラ・マシエル
Daniela Maciel
1989年生まれ。デンマーク／ポルトガル出身。デンマークを拠点に活動する学際的アーティスト、サウンドデザイナー。2019年アート＆テクノロジーの学士号、2021年オーディオ・デザインの修士号（Cand.it.）を取得。これまでに、Kunsthal Aarhus（デンマーク）、Kunsthal Nord（デンマーク）、Ars Electronica（オーストリア、リンツ）などで展覧会を多数開催。
ダニエラは、サウンド・アートを中心に、自然科学における植物研究と芸術表現の交差点を探求している。ポスト・ヒューマニズムの理論を軸に、植物や他の生命体に対するより深い理解と感性を育み、”聴く”ための思索的空間を創造している。
Daniela Maciel (b. 1989) is a Danish/Portuguese transdisciplinary artist and sound designer based in Denmark. She has exhibited at venues such as Kunsthal Aarhus (DK), Kunsthal Nord (DK) and Ars Electronica (Linz, Austria). She holds a BA in Art & Technology (2019) and an MSc (Cand.it.) in Audio Design (2021).
Her artistic practice explores the intersection between natural sciences (most often plant research) and artistic expression, with a central focus on sound art. She works with post-humanistic theory to create speculative spaces for listening and for forming a deeper sensitivity towards plants and other lifeforms.

デニス・サック
Deniz Sak
トルコ、イスタンブール出身のアーティストでデザイナー。MAXXIローマ、トリエンナーレ・ディ・ミラノ、CICA美術館、イオニオン水族館、パルミエリ財団など、イタリア、ドイツ、ギリシャ、日本、韓国、ペルー、トルコで個展やグループ展を多数開催。
サックは、主に写真とビデオを使って、生態系の変化、人間の物語、古代の知恵を交差させる。アジアや南米の土着文化の中に身を置き、そこで得た体験や知識を増幅させることで、伝統と生態系のバランスが求められる現代における架け橋となることを目指している。彼女は、フィールドワーク、多様な風景の記録、土地の文化と関わることによって、変化・バランス・二元性・変容・集合意識といったテーマを作品の中に昇華させる。
Deniz SAK is a Multidisciplinary Artist and Designer from Istanbul, Turkey. Her works has been featured across Italy, Germany, Greece, Japan, Korea, Peru and Turkey, including notable venues such as MAXXI Rome, Triennale di Milano, CICA Museum, Ionion Aquarium and Palmieri Foundation, both solo and in group exhibitions.
Sak’s artistic practice primarily revolves the intersections of ecological transformation, human narratives, and ancient knowledge through photography and video art. By immersing herself in indigenous knowledge, Sak seeks to honor and amplify the ancient knowledge across Asia and South America, creating a bridge between archaic traditions and the contemporary quest for ecological balance. Her pursuits involve field trips, documenting diverse landscapes, engaging with local cultures, and working with themes of Change, Balance, Duality, Transformation and Collective Consciousness.

石坂亥士
Gaishi ishizaka
1971年、群馬県桐生市生まれ。神楽太鼓奏者・打楽器奏者として、神社、クラブ、即興演奏、演劇、舞踏といった国内外を問わず様々なシーンに活動の場を広げる。
母の郷里の青森で、幼少の頃より様々な伝統芸能をはじめ、イタコの儀式などに触れた事が自身の音の原風景となっている。そのスタイルは、神楽太鼓を主軸に、世界各地の民族打楽器を自由に操る稀なスタイルで、ミルフォード・グレイヴスや、師匠である土取利行氏の影響を強く受けている。
Gaishi Ishizaka is a Kagura Drum Player, Percussionist and Sound Designer, born in Kiryu, Gunma Prefecture in Japan, in 1971. As a Kagura drummer and percussionist, he has expanded his activities to various scenes both in Japan and overseas, including shrines, clubs, improvisation, theater, and dance.
His mother's hometown of Aomori has exposed him to various traditional performing arts, including Itako rituals, from her early childhood years, which became the original landscape of his own sound. His style is a rare style that freely manipulates ethnic percussion instruments from around the world, with Kagura drums as the main focus, and is strongly influenced by Milford Graves and his master, Toshiyuki Tsuchitori.

キム・ソヨン
Kim Soyoung
韓国に生まれる。ソウルを中心に活動。韓国、日本、ドイツ、台湾など国際的に展覧会を行う。国立現代美術館が運営するプログラムをはじめ、ドイツや日本などのレジデンシープログラムに多数参加。
絵画空間の中に幾重にも物語を織り込むことで「物語的多次元」を構築する。詩、小説、夢、会話などからテキストを収集し、ドローイングと合わせることで独自の世界を築いていく。彼女の ”イメージ・ナラティブ” の手法を通じて、現実と架空の空間が交差するところで生まれる、新たなストーリーテリングの可能性を探求している。
Kim Soyoung constructs "narrative multidimensional" spaces by layering stories that respond to expressively composed spaces within painting. She collects fragments of text from poetry, fiction, dreams, and conversations to build imagined worlds. Through drawing installations, she explores new possibilities of storytelling that emerge at the intersection of fictional and real spaces. She has exhibited her work in Korea, Japan, Germany, and Taiwan, and has participated in various residency programs, including the MMCA Goyang Residency, as well as residencies in Germany and Japan.

岡本奈香子
Nakako Okamoto
1973年奈良県生まれ。奈良県在住。1997年 愛知県立芸術大学美術学部油画科卒業、2004年 Wimbledon School of Art 大学院美術科絵画専攻(MA)修了、2015年 京都市立芸術大学大学院美術研究科 博士(後期)課程メディア・アート領域修了。2021年「かいじゅう未来計画〜アート・ひと・まちin 大和桜井〜」を設立。
過去に経験した特異な変容意識体験により、創造性と脳の関係性に興味をもつ。脳の言語野を磁気刺激して絵を描く科学実験を行うなど、美術、認知神経科学、文化人類学など様々な分野を横断しながら研究と制作を行う。

Graduated with BFA in Oil painting from the Aichi University of the Arts.Graduated with an MFA in Painting from the Wimbledon College of Arts, London, UK in 2005, and then completed her Ph.D. in Media Art at the Kyoto City University of Art in 2013. Established the Kaiju Mirai Project in 2021.
Due to her personal experiences with hallucinations and altered levels of consciousness throughout her youth, Nakako Okamoto has been enthusiastically engaged in studies that explore the relationship between artistic creativity and the brain. Her cross-disciplinary studies of art, cognitive neuroscience and cultural anthropology aid her in her continuing pursuit of the origins of creativity.
